great atmosphere but minor issues
The ambiance felt homey, unlike corporate hotels—Mr. Butters the cat made my check-in a joy. The breakfast spread surpassed expectations. I especially loved the variety of fresh fruits and hot options. Cleanliness stood out. my recently painted Queen Room sparkled. This place is truly a gem in the midst of a chain-heavy area, perfect for a relaxing stay. I felt comfortable, though I agree that accessible seating in common areas could enhance the experience. Definitely a welcome respite after a long day.
I wish there were more accessible seating options.

The warm, inviting decor of Horse Creek Inn caught my eye right from the start. I appreciated how clean everything was, from my Queen Room to the common areas. The friendly atmosphere created a nice vibe, and I loved the adorable resident cats roaming around. However, I felt there could be more accessible seating in the common areas. It made moving around a bit tricky at times. My only real issue was the breakfast selection, which felt quite basic and wasn't very appealing. I would have liked a bit more variety. The location offered easy access to local spots, which I found convenient.

We had a pleasant stay at this inn with our three kids. The staff was friendly and made us feel at home. The nearby Westview Plaza with Gary's Super Foods and the Cinema 3 Movie Theatre was perfect for family fun after a long day of traveling.
In my wife’s opinion, a children's play area would be great.

It was just a nice choice for a rapid stop in McCook with good value for cost. The resident cats provided some local entertainment during our stay. If you're not a cat person, check with staff first about the furry residents.
